Structural Bridge Engineer I
HDR Engineering, Inc. Lexington, KY Nov 2013 – Present
- Served as a project engineer on the new 3-span bridge over Norfolk Southern Railroad, six solder pile retaining walls and a reinforced concrete double-barrel box culvert extension.
(New Circle Road (KY-4) Widening, Fayette County)
- Served as a project engineer on the Ramp B Bridge over Flat Creek: an 8-span, curved structure with chorded prestressed concrete hybrid beams.

NBIS Inspections and Structural Evaluations KYTC – Division of Maintenance
- Team Member for 27 bridges in Todd County and 25 bridges in Greenup County (part of Statewide On-Call Contract).
- Superstructure Types: Rolled Steel Beams & Welded Steel Plate Girders, R/C Box & Steel Pipe Culverts, PSC Box Beams & I-Beams and Timber Bridges.
- Inspection data and photos entered into BrM per KYTC’s revised policy.
Annual & Detailed Short-Line Inspections Genesee & Wyoming Railroad
- Team Leader for 16 bridges (HALR) & 53 bridges (LXVR); Team Member for 16 bridges (EARY & MNBR).
- Bridges ranged up to 50+ spans with ballast/open decks on steel/concrete caps with steel/timber piles.
- Superstructure Types: Rolled Steel Beams, Welded Steel Thru-Plate Girders, PSC Box Beams, Timber Stringers, Precast Concrete Slabs and a 575ft Steel Truss with 80ft Towers.
- Reviewed inspection and rating reports.
Bridge Condition Inspection Rating Tennessee Valley Authority
- Performed a superstructure load rating (MDX) of an abandoned 3-span bridge over Wells Creek within the Cumberland Fossil Plant. The goal of the project was to repurpose the rolled steel beam structure for use as an ash haul route.
Structural Bridge Engineer I
Parsons Transportation Group Boston, MA May 2012 – Nov 2013
- Performed and checked complex bridge design calculations, cost estimates, special provisions and structural analyses for design and rehabilitation projects for MassDOT and ConnDOT.
- Designed, detailed and checked proposed bridge and bridge rehabilitation plans.
- Served as an inspection team member for the I-90 Tunnel (South Station) Settlement and the Fore River Bridge projects.
- Performed and prepared all aspects of field inspection, load rating and structural reports.
Staff Structural Engineer

Statewide Load Ratings MassDOT / MBTA
- Executed nearly two dozen load ratings of multiple bridge types: girder-floorbeam-stringer floor systems, concrete encased beams units, culverts, pipes, arches and a curved steel girder bridge.
