* Analyze and solve corrosion issues in the refinery. Run root-cause-analysis and develop recommendations. Examine the proper material application.
* Manage and implement risk and safety analysis for manufacturing units. Develop and update a project plan for implementation. Resource planning of a multi-disciplinary team of operation, technology, inspection and government representative. Define and evaluate damage mechanisms. Facilitate workshops.
* Manage projects by actively steering a multi-disciplinary team of economics, technology, inspection, and external experts, keep within the constraints of timelines, milestones, and resource planning. Coordinate internal and external communication, and report the progress.

* Researched polymer-metal interphases. Analyzed the stiffness of polymer interfacial regions to characterize the mechanical properties and surface-induced behavior.
* Examined stiffness gradients of polymers with scanning force microscopes (SFM) and scanning electron microscopes (SEM) with energy dispersive X-ray (EDX). Reported the results and presented the project in meetings and conferences.
