Performed and supervised field collection and reduction of traffic data at various locations throughout the greater New York and New Jersey metropolitan area. Worked as a Construction Inspector on various projects in NJ. Also, was intricate in the submission of project deliverables to clients. Project scopes ranged from small private clients to large scale studies subcontracted by NJDOT. Specific duties and responsibilities included:
-As a Construction Inspector, worked on NJDOT construction projects, with great success, compiling meticulous inspection reports.
• Worked as an effective communication conduit between the contractors, NJDOT Resident Engineers and other inspectors in order to assure accurate and precise observation of construction practices.
-As a traffic Engineer, performed, processed and supervised Peak Hour Turning Movement Counts.
• Installed and processed Automated Traffic Recorders (ATR)
• Performed and processed speed delay and gap studies.
• Compiled Traffic Impact Studies from initial planning to submission.
• Used computer software to reduce accepted data to be utilized by consulting engineers and state agencies.
• Interacted with clients on end product submissions in accordance with in-house and client suggested QA/QC policies.
• Familiarity with AASHTO, NJDOT, FHWY and MUTCD regulations and procedures.
• After 6 months, supervised, coordinated and scheduled work crews of a dozen employees under tight budgets and time schedules.
