Project Manager
Responsibilities included: the project management of single and multisite projects for first to file opportunities, engineering, new product launches and cost reduction projects. Team members often included representatives from quality, materials management, pharmaceutical technology, R & D, engineering, planning and scheduling departments.
Key Accomplishments include:
• Coordination of a multisite project to standardize components that resulted in an annualized 25% reduction in component cost.
• Interface with R & D for several new product e-batches and launches for first to file opportunities
• Project Management of the introduction of a new cap into the packaging operations for a 20% component cost reduction.
• Coordination of various OPEX cost savings site initiatives between Operations and Engineering.
• Became the area Subject Matter Expert (SME) for various packaging projects and new product transfers from other sites.
• Project Management for an OPEX initiative for the purchase, installation and start up of an automatic parts washer for the packaging operation.

Responsibilities include: The management of over 150 direct and indirect reports for a three shift operation. Created and maintained the budget for the Packaging Department as well as the coordination of new product launches through the packaging operation. Assured departmental adherence to quality compliance and manufacturing policies and procedures.
Key Accomplishments include:
• Identify and implement new projects by working with packaging line personnel that would improve either improve quality or reduce costs.
• Facilitated the start up of two new packaging lines in new facility
• Production liaison for purchase of high speed automatic assembly equipment.
• Developed a production capacity analysis model for Packaging at the Corona site to improve production scheduling and increased output.
• Developed Long range packaging plan with site growth potential. Plan involved new equipment and the elimination of production bottle necks
• Developed root cause analysis program utilizing six sigma techniques within the packaging department to isolate and solve production problems and increase production up time. Utilized data for input of new projects for the capital budgets.
