I am an experienced and well educated engineer with a Degree in Engineering. I perform a technical, organizational and supervisory role on construction projects, including civil, road, rail and other infrastructure projects. I am responsible for marking out the site, applying designs and plans and liaising with subcontractors. I work as part of the site management team, sharing responsibility for site security, health and safety, and the organization and supervision of material and human resources. Projects vary from small scale to multi-million pound ventures.

Duties:
Surveying and setting out (Marking the position of structures such as bridges/retaining walls and profiling and levelling the alignment);
Checking drawings and quantities and ensuring that the calculations are accurate for the work;
Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials and plant for use in the construction;
Making cost-effective solutions and proposals for the intended project activity;
Planning the work and efficiently organizing the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines;
Liaising with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project;
Liaising with clients and their representatives (engineers and surveyors) and attending meetings to keep them informed of progress;
Day-to-day site management and monitoring the site labour force and monitoring the work of subcontractors;
Writing detailed reports; Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that arose;
