I created structural engineering consultant firm from mental ideation to physical reality. I am responsible for all aspects of business development, company growth, and marketing. Additionally, responsible for all design engineering related responsibilities, drafting of full plans, sections, details, and general notes for complete signed & sealed construction documents for all commercial projects. Additionally, I provided sketches required for residential repairs at existing homes. Projects ranged in size from the design of a beam or girder, for small scale architects, to multi-story commercial, educational, pre-engineered and adaptive re-use facilities for larger architectural firms. Well versed in all design aspects of steel, reinforced concrete, masonry (CMU and Brick), metal studs, precast concrete plank, heavy timber, and wood. I also, well versed in the repair of all aforementioned materials by reinforcing or sistering existing members to achieve structural repair for any damage that may have occurred. I am also well versed in the understanding of the stress and strain characteristics of various historic or older existing materials. In addition, we are experienced with sistering or reinforcing that may have to be performed for adapting the building’s structure for a change in architectural, client or owner usage.

Responsible for attending conceptual design meetings with all firms involved on the project to create workable conceptual design and cost effective solutions for the owner. Involved in supervising junior engineer’s calculations and design efforts as well as all phases of design to provide complete working structural drawings. Responsible for design conception, design calculations, and accompanying design report. Project experience includes:
New York City Department of Sanitation, Marine Transfer Station Conversion Conceptual Design Development, New York, New York.
Structural engineer responsible for full conceptual structural design development, preparation of a conceptual design report and drawings as part of an innovative program to convert (5) water-based and (3) land based marine transfer stations from a truck-to-barge waste transfer facility to a containerized waste processing facility for marine export. Total estimated cost to re-build these facilities as new state of the art municipal solid waste facilities is in excess of 550 million dollars. The project entails full demolition of existing marine transfer stations and reconstruction enlargement of marine transfer stations for New York City's solid municipal waste disposal.
New York City Department of Environmental Protection, Phase 2- Final Design Services, Contract NC-41 Central Residuals Facilities, Newtown Creek Water Pollution Control Plant, New York, New York.
Structural Engineer responsible for structural design calculations, conceptual design, final structural design and preparation of contract documents for new residuals handling, processing and disposal equipment as part of a $2.4 billion plant expansion and upgrade project. This contract within the plant expansion is in excess of $250 million dollars. The project entails the simultaneous design of a (5) story secondary screening facility, (5) story residuals building, a one-story odor control facility, and an underground tunnel extension from a previous contract to connect to the main building. Essentially because of the size of each facility these where designed as 3 separate facilities with expansion joints at building interface locations.
