• Prepared and implemented Quality Plans ensuring specification compliance for runway/taxiway improvements, including excavation, installation of underground utilities and electrical, base preparation, asphalt mixture production and paving, including ATPB, P-401 base and surface course mixtures, rapid set concrete mixtures, pavement grooving and striping, electrical lighting, signage and landscape restoration.
• Performed final review of contractor daily inspection reports ensuring completion and accuracy prior to submittal to resident engineers.
• Identified and documented non-compliant work being performed and implemented corrective action measures to eliminate reoccurrence and ensure compliance with Quality Plan.
Project/Construction Engineer (1996-1998)
Kirk Road (from IL 38 to IL 64) – Widening and Reconstruction, Kane County, IL
Reconstruct and widen existing county highway from two lane asphalt roadway to four lane PCC roadway, including drainage, lighting, signage and traffic signal improvements. Responsibilities included:
