Pursuing a full-time or internship engineering position that utilizes my experience and interests in bioprocess engineering, process
development, scale-up, and control systems.
SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS
• 18 months of extensive professional experience with process design, scale-up, economic analysis, instrumentation, process
control, and data acquisition systems for respirable microparticle pharmaceutical production during employment at Aktiv-Dry
LLC.
• Experience with the creation of P&ID’s and PFD’s in both the academic and professional setting.
• Experience with process modeling and simulation software including Aspen HYSYS, AspenPLUS, and SuperPro Designer
• Familiar with sterile procedures such as cGMP, aseptic technique, CIP, SIP, Continuous Heat Sterilization and filter
sterilization
• Experience with bench-scale laboratory techniques including cell culture (mammalian and bacterial), micro- and
ultrafiltration, optical density measurement, flow measurement, electrophoresis, HPLC, spectroscopy, protein
crystallization/precipitation, NMR/IR spectra analysis, and chemical safety procedures.
• Extensive experience with process equipment design and scale-up including heat exchangers, chillers, heat loops, separation
towers, pumps, reactors/bioreactors, mixer/settlers, and condensers.
• Knowledgeable with software interface packages including LabView, Microsoft Visio, Mathcad, Mathematica, Matlab, and
Gaussian09.
• Experience with quantum mechanical simulation as it relates to molecular modeling, enzymatic catalysis, material science,
and surface chemistry.
• 12 months graduate research experience in computational enzymatic reaction modeling and reaction engineering.
