Accomplishments
City of Anaheim – Various Master Agreement Projects – Project Engineer responsible for various construction projects for the City of Anaheim such as FIXED and SWITCHED CAP banks upgrade with the installation of Lindsey Multicore Sensors, Joslyn VSV Switch, Joslyn ZVC Controller with Junction Box, 1kVA 12 kV Control Transformer, Beckwith Capacitor Controller, Switch Capacitor rack, new capacitor cans, conduits and wires per City’s specifications. Upgrade GSE Switch to VGS Switch with the installation of new wires, decorative vent pipes, oil sensing sump pumps, single and three phase MVI switches, motor operators and RTUs. Also, work closely with the City Inspectors to ensure the outages were scheduled accordingly.
Metropolitan Water District - Julian Hinds Pumping Plant Standby Diesel Engine Generator Replacement – Project Engineer responsible for construction, coordination and scheduling of the replacement of 2300V, 300kW diesel engine generator; furnished a temporary standby generator while the existing standby generator was removed and the new standby generator was installed; furnished a temporary compressed air system while the existing compressed air system was relocated; constructing a concrete generator foundation and containment with platform; installed a new 480V, 400kW Standby Diesel Engine Generator set with a sub-base fuel storage tank; installed a new step-up transformer, and constructed a concrete transformer foundation and containment.
SCE Ivanpah MEER, Nipton, CA – Construction Superintendent/Project Engineer for design and construction of steel structure facilities, 12 kV / 480-208-120 V power systems, DC power system, GPS + GSIE equipment and communication systems, lighting systems, and HVAC systems in new Ivanpah 500 / 230 kV substation to support renewable solar energy system and electronic power monitoring, protective and control relays for the smart power grid.
SCE Monolith BESS, Tahachapi, CA – Construction Engineer for design and construction of the steel structure building in the Monolith 230 kV / 69 kV substation to house rectifiers, transformers, Lithium-Ion batteries and control relays to store solar and wind energy and to discharge electricity to the regional power grid during the peak demand.
SCE Devers MEER, Desert Center, CA – Construction Engineer for design and construction of the steel structure building in the Devers 500 / 230 / 69 kV substation to house electronic power monitoring, protective and control relays for the smart power grid.
