Senior System Engineer over Maritime Surveillance Systems 2011 ¡V Present
Lead Engineer for the design, development, installation and test of C4I Maritime Surveillance Systems for Iraq, Bahrain and the Philippines. These systems included radar, camera, AIS, networking and Command Control subsystems. The customers included Navy SPAWAR Pacific, as well as the respective Host Nation¡¦s Ministries of Defense.
Raytheon:
Technical Director of Ship Control System for USN DDG 1000 2008 ¡V 2011
Ship Control system involved over 25 equipment cabinets and 1,000,000 lines of new code. Team consisted of over 100 systems, hardware and software engineers. Responsibilities over the team included strict adherence to all technical requirements and processes, as well as working hand in hand with the Navy programmatic and technical leadership team. Key accomplishments included:
ƒÞ Led the team to a highly successful status as the premier development team in terms of being on schedule and within cost commitments, with a very satisfied Navy customer.
ƒÞ Led key presentations and design reviews with the Navy customer through System Requirements, Preliminary Design, Detailed Design and Test Readiness Reviews.
ƒÞ Led key subcontractors, including Lockheed Martin, Northrup Grumman, and L3 Marine through their development cycles. When one of the subcontractors began to fail both technically and programmatically, oversaw a quick, seamless transition to bring the work in house.
Chief Engineer for the USN LPD-17 Ship System Integration 2007 ¡V 2008
Effort included the integration and test of the key electronic systems aboard the LPD-17 ship class, the premier amphibious warfare ship for the U.S. Navy. Systems included the ship wide network and servers, engineering control, navigation control, bridge system, communications systems and video distribution system. Key accomplishments included:
ƒÞ Led the ship systems through final integration and test and through highly successful qualification trials for the next 2 ships in the class. Worked hourly with the ships test teams and Navy management to work through key test and integration issues.
ƒÞ Developed an evolution plan for all of the ship systems with the Navy Program office and obtained approval of a series of system improvements through the budget cycle.
ƒÞ Led the development team through the development of a series of system improvements, from concept through approval and then design and deployment.
