MacCentric Solutions - CTO (June 2008 – Present)
MacCentric provides Information Technology Solutions and Strategy to various firms in the Bay area.
For our clients my responsibilities include:
• Partnering with executives to evaluate IT needs for immediate and long term business objectives
• Being heavily involved with strategy and planning as a part-time CIO/CTO.
• Providing high-level technology and business acumen to maximize technology investment
Internally, I:
• Direct a staff of 6 systems engineers, define best practices, and train technical staff.
• Drive initiatives for automation of installation and upgrade services.
• Develop new monitoring metrics and streamline reporting protocols to maximize efficiency
• Improve effectiveness of engagement planning, troubleshooting, and training delivery; changes
reduced cycle times by 50% to 90% per engagement and increased profitability.

For the award-winning marketing department of this Financial Services company, I:
• Managed the Macintosh IT infrastructure transition from World Savings bank to Wachovia corporate
infrastructure.
• Worked with Networking IT group for Macintosh specific needs.
• Created and managed Macintosh-specific protocols with full-time help desk staff.
• Managed the Active Directory integration.
• Created, maintained, and delivered machine image to users and managed patch deployment.
Favarger Consulting - Owner (1998-2008)
• Hired, trained, and managed a staff of 10 to provide 10-300 person businesses with information
technology solutions.
• Provided over 50 clients with relocation services, project management, and sub-contractor
supervision for wiring, voice / data installation, and NOC design, Managed purchasing
recommendations, hardware installations and network redesigns, backup, network, firewall and
groupware solutions.
• Responsible for writing of proposals, scopes of work and equipment recommendations.
Clients included: LDCC Financial, Chinook Inc., Circles.com, Harvard University, Penn University,
Universal Pictures Corp., Ironman Magazine, various legal, production, and financial firms.
Netegrity, Inc. - IS Manager (1997-1998)
Managed Development teams networking environment for a C++/Windows product.
• Reengineered network wiring and servers; re-routed and re-switched subnets.
• Administrated Arcserve Backup, Exchange, remote access capabilities, Checkpoint firewall and
voicemail system. Provided helpdesk support, procurement and purchasing for all users.
• Debugged and troubleshot interoperability issues between different operating systems.
