PROFESSIONAL HISTORY
Continental AG/Siemens VDO/DaimlerChrysler, Huntsville, AL
Electronic Engineering Analysis Technician/Mechanic 1994 – Nov 2010
Performed work within a team environment to develop test procedures and technical publications to prevent identified issues from affecting product quality. Support customer electronic product design teams during development and launch of electronic engine control modules and satellite radio modules. Designed and developed integrated hardware/software test methods for evaluation of electronic products utilized by the customer.
Key Accomplishments
• Developed microprocessor, ASIC, and internal/external flash debug methodologies used in warranty return center.
• Assisted in identifying component-level quality problem by analyzing early production line failures and prevented deficiencies from being passed on customer.
• Analyzed EEPROM data, identified a source of corruption, provided detail to the quality engineer that helped prove the EEPROM was corrupted outside our facility, and helped minimize the number of quality claims being issued. In addition, worked with external customer to determine where in their process the corruption was being introduced.
• Produce detailed process flow charts to monitor operations. Provide detailed statistical reports of analysis findings to internal and external customers.
• Conducted electronic reliability life testing on electronic modules. Captured all test data and debugged modules down to component level. Presented data to management and engineering groups for brainstorming exercises to improve electro-mechanical designs.
• Performed EMI/EMC testing on new electronic engine controllers and radio hardware. Conducted all debugging for root cause analysis, and presented data to improve electronic designs.
• Developed test procedures currently used within the entire quality department for accurate identification of failure signatures within electronic systems.
• Conducted research & development of compiles micro-core failure signatures with customer engineering and component supplier engineering for accurate root cause analysis.
• Skilled at integrating text application software into specialized hardware test platforms.
• Performed proto-type build up of Engine Controller Modules, Wiring Harnesses, and Satellite Radios.
• Skilled user of all analysis equipment utilized within an Electronic Engineering Lab Environment.
Avex Electronics, Huntsville, AL
