SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
DESIGN AND ENGINEERING
• Conceptualized and quoted an innovative all robotic assembly process for the GM Volt cylinder head assembly line which secured the contract for Cinetic Automation.
• From conceptualization through installation, championed the re-tool of Ford Windsor engine assembly line which earned 40% profit and secured future projects for Comau Pico. Additionally, on-time completion provided Ford with competitive advantage for the new F-150.
• Quoted, designed, and installed 8 new assembly stations for GM Romulus. Earned 25% profit for Cinetic Automation. Increased GM’s uptime by 5% and reduced their manpower requirements by 10%.
• Teamed with others to deliver documentation including final drawings, machine operation manuals, work instruction manuals, and preventive maintenance manuals for all projects. This enabled self-sufficient operation by customers, resulted in reduced service calls, and increased machine life cycle.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
• Re-arranged and retooled competitor’s engine and cylinder head assembly lines for GM Tonawanda. Managed design vendors, machine builders, general and electrical installation contractors. The entire project was conducted in the field at GM’s assembly plant, and completed on-time and within budget. The success of this project elevated Cinetic Automation to GM’s top 98% Vendor status which helped procure additional orders.
• Received Vendor Excellence Award from GM Powertrain Division.
• Managed, trained, and mentored offshore design staff for Strategic Engineering Solutions. Achieved design cost savings of 25%.
PROCESS OPTIMIZATION
• Optimized existing assembly process for Linamar Inc. Pinpointed and solved multiple assembly station and tooling issues, resulting in a throughput improvement of 90%.
