Development Engineer 4: Current responsibilities: design, implementation, and maintenance of license support for Java, C++, and Dot Net services within a Component Architecture (SCA) environment. Other accomplishments include: initiated an investigation of using a distributed build system in the MSC development environment, initiated and executed Linux based code coverage support for the application framework group, and performance and memory analysis for the SimXpert Framework and Enterprise Model Browser. Responsibilities include writing and reviewing requirement and analysis documents, performing code reviews and multi-systems testing.

Autodesk, Novi, MI: January, 2003 to March, 2008
Software Engineer: Responsibilities and accomplishments: design, implementation, and maintenance of the Drawing Manager application within Autodesk Inventor. Duties included reviewing projected specifications, writing work flow analysis documents, writing project high level and detailed design documents, writing acceptance tests documents, participation in work break down (WBS) task identification, scheduling, and development of projects. Duties also included working closely with Product Designers, Product Documentation Writers, and QA Engineers to coordinate activities leading to high quality projects. Tools and techniques used included UML, C++, and development using Windows Visual Studio.

LECO, St. Joseph, MI: April, 2001 to August, 2002
Project Engineer: Responsibilities and accomplishments: development of a Windows based, multi threaded software application for a mercury analyzing instrument (Quicksilver 2.0). The application provided a user interface by which customers controlled the instrument, ran the analysis, and presented the results. In addition to Quicksilver, I developed extensions for the AMH32 (Automated Micro-Hardness) application and created install CD’s for several of LECO’s instruments. Tools and techniques included UML, C++, and development using Windows Visual Studio.

SDRC, Milford, OH: July, 1996 to March, 2001
Sr. Software Engineer: Responsibilities and accomplishments: development of the (then) new Metaphase MetaIdeas product. MetaIdeas is a Product Data Management tool that combines the team scale data management of Ideas with the enterprise scale data management of Metaphase.
