Surgical Experience:
In 600 clinical hours I experienced central service at Holy Family, the role of a maternity tech at Sacred Heart, and the role of a Surgical Technologist at Sacred Heart Medical Center main OR and day surgery, Kootnei Medical Center, & KOSC. During that time I was able to first scrub 147 cases in most general and some specialty areas including, neuro, orthopedics, and OB/GYN. A few cases I was able to first scrub include lumbar laminectomys and discectomys, a variety of laparoscopic procedures, bowel resections, hysterectomies, and cesarean sections. Also, I had the opportunity to attend the spring workshop in Vancouver, WA in which I completed 15 continuing education credits, and was a member of the scrub bowl team.
