PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Ø Supplier Technical / Quality Engineer – Technical liaison between Solar Turbines and supply base for O.V. processed Gas Turbine Engine and Packaging System components.
Ø Project Engineer in support of multi million-dollar contracts for customers such as USAF, General Electric, Pratt Whitney, Aeromacchi, Lockheed and Boeing.
Ø Develop comprehensive program plans and schedules for internally manufactured components as well as subcontracted work.
Ø Lead diverse cross-functional teams throughout the entire product life cycle, from proposal development through product delivery.
Ø Support engineering activity for change of scope, work content, schedule, and cost.
Ø New Product Integration – Develop, implement, and qualify supplier related manufacturing processes necessary to support new turbo-machinery systems. Coordinate new detail fabrication program (NPI) from design and development into production.
Ø Liaison engineering activities, resolving fabrication and assembly issues.
Ø Provide supplier related corrective actions for known product issues.
Ø Create product structures, bill of materials and detailed rework instructions.
Ø Manufacturing Processes Supported Daily: CNC Machining, Chemical Milling, Hot Forming, SPF Forming, Heat Treating, Tig/Mig Welding, Robotic Stud Welding, Water Jet Cutting, Sub-Assembly and Final Assembly.
Ø Materials: Titanium, 6-2-4-2, 6AL-4V, Beta 21S. Aluminums: 2024, 6061, 6063 and 7075. Stainless Steels: 300 and 400 series, Inconel 625, 718, and 4140, 4340, steel.
Ø Provide cost reduction proposals utilizing Six Sigma Methodologies focused on reducing production run times and improving thru-put.
Ø Perform supplier surveys / quality audits to ensure compliance to Solar Turbines Quality Management System / ISO.
Ø Perform source inspections for ancillary components – Silencers, Exhaust Bellows, Enclosure Assemblies, and Intermediate Ducting.
