I was trained to pull for cases by information on preference cards, how to open a room and set up my table and mayo once scrubbed. I learned what to do for the doctor while surgery is in progress, and after the surgery I reset and restocked the operating room in preparation for the next case. I also learned how to use the Steris machine, how to decontaminate instruments, and how to reassemble instrument trays.
