Supervised customer acceptance testing, and field installation of equipment and instrumentation. Produced specifications and cost estimates for automated control systems. Evaluated vendor bid packages for control systems, instrumentation and expert systems.

Added PID control to METSIM metallurgical software simulation package. Wrote tools to enable same software to move from DOS to Windows.

ASARCO Incorporated, Ray Complex, Hayden, Arizona.
Process Control Metallurgist - Implemented ABB distributed control system for the Ray Concentrator Project, the construction of a ground-up copper concentrating facility. Ensured the internal integrity and external interfacing of the DCS with Allen-Bradley PLCs and field instrumentation throughout customer acceptance, pre-operational testing, start-up and continuing through normal operations. Successfully developed the world's first artificial neural network control of semi-autogenous grinding.
