Distinctive Accomplishments
Devised strategy to foster Best Landscape Management Practices. Working for the City of Palm Desert, I devised a long-term landscape management plan for renovating existing landscape areas focused on BMP and water conservation techniques to conserve resources and significantly reduce annual maintenance costs.
Developed comprehensive landscape design guidelines. Working for the City of Simi Valley, I prepared a detailed planning tool that encompassed sustainable conservation and environmental conservation strategies. I successfully guided developers in achieving all goals/expectations. Designed/delivered 10+ Public Works road widening and landscape enhancement projects to current California Water Conservation mandates.
Initiated master plan project to further enhance Seattle’s Urban Forestry program. As Seattle entered the 1990s, it faced multiple landscape challenges, largely due to declining street trees. Initiated five-year Street Tree Master Plan project that was congruent with citywide planning and design goals, ensuring the city’s commitment to quality of life.
