Akonix Systems, Inc. provides Instant Messaging Security and Compliance software. (Akonix Systems, Inc. purchased Natural Messaging Inc. (NMI Platform) and hired the application platform development team.) The division in Waltham created an Instant Messaging application platform, Akonix L7 Builder, which connects new or existing applications to the public and corporate Instant Messaging networks.

Reviewed project plans, development specifications and created and executed test strategies and plans for three releases of Akonix L7 Builder on public instant messaging networks (MSN, AOL, Yahoo, XMPP, GOOGLE) and enterprise instant messaging networks (Microsoft Live Communications Server and IBM Lotus Sametime).

Automated portions of test suite using Rational Visual Test that increased product reliability by expanding the breadth of test scenarios executed for every product build.

Defined requirements and used internal automation tool, IMStress, to write and run Akonix L7 Builder performance tests against Microsoft Live Communications Server and IBM Lotus Sametime. Wrote scripts to automate API tests for L7 Builder.

Sole Quality Assurance Engineer at Natural Messaging where I created and executed test strategies for NMI Platform, tested code and VoiceXML applications from seven engineers using Java simulators and Jabber, Sametime and XMPP IM clients on WIN 2000 Servers. Applications included Currency Trader which prices currency options and completes trades.
