WORK EXPERIENCE:
6/2006 – 10/2011, Agile Manufacturing, Anderson, Missouri
Product Engineer
• Work with marketing and sales team along with distributors and end-users to determine the need to redesign key products in the Agile heater line.
• Used three dimensional models and custom developed computer simulation was able to redesign the canopy and reflector pan to improve the coverage area of the heater.
• Evaluated and determined the need to change the material used to manufacture the emitter screens to reduce warping caused by prolonged exposure to excess heat. Managed key members of the manufacturing staff to develop prototypes for field testing.
• Using 6-Sigma principals and past success and failure experiences, evaluated all manufacturing areas of the Agile heating lines to determine where improvements can be made.
• Using three dimensional models, flow charts, and production time studies was able to redesign the heating production area reducing cost by 18% and increasing productivity by over 53%. Design and develop new and existing AgroLogic products to keep Agile Manufacturing on the leading edge of the poultry house control business.
• Lead key members of the manufacturing team to develop and build product assembly lines to ensure lean manufacturing processes and procedures were followed.
• Perform extensive tests on all AgroLogic products. Developed and maintained a through troubleshooting guide for the AgroLogic product line. 3-Dimentional rendering of new concept ideas, existing prototype parts, and existing production products using Solid Works 2009 and AutoCAD 2009.

• Design of new products using Auto CAD, 3D Studio Max, and ProE design software (significant projects included the redesign of corn burning stove.)
• Design and implementation of product specific testing procedures to thoroughly test new products and modify those products as required to achieve the desired results.
• Testing of new products after prototypes are complete to meet and exceed customer specifications.
• Design and implement new production process procedures using customer supplied product blueprints.
• Create blueprints and production process procedures for newly designed products.
• Writing detailed production process specification sheets to meet QS 9000 and ISO 14001 qualification and to maximize production efficiency.
• Working with production supervisors to ensure required changes are implemented.
• Lead members of the manufacturing team to implement Lean Manufacturing processes and procedures such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen theology aimed at reducing manufacturing cost and improving production productivity.
