B.S. Computer Engineering GPA: 3.24/4.0
Minor Computer Science
PROJECTS
• Self Designed Processor / Senior Design Project
o Wrote instruction sets, designed the datapath and control unit, designed the arithmetic unit
o Pipelined using the basic 5 stage model, demonstrated to take 1 clock cycle instead of 5
o Each component tested, and then final model put onto a FPGA board for final demonstration
• 8051 Car Project
o Programmed round robin and time slice multitasking interrupts and interrupt service routines
o Wrote C code to follow a traffic light, green yellow and red, with a walk button that would interrupt the current running code and stop the car
o Learned how to make code more efficient and fit into limited memory space
o Compared C compiler generated assembly to assembly code I wrote of the same programs
• 8051 Assembly Project (Project leader)
o Wrote an assembly code to increment and decrement a counter, and to add and store results
o Initiated a startup sequence of lights and sounds and another when the counter turned over
• ARM7 Project
o Wrote a combination of C code and assembly code and implemented it on a development board
o This code initialized the serial port so that it could transmit and receive
o Connected to a sensor and if the temperature exceeded the limit, a warning beep would go off
• Wind Speed Prediction - Used the Mean Variance Optimization training algorithm to train an Elman Recurrent Neural Network to predict wind speed every 15 and 30 minutes in Matlab
