Project Engineer: Responsible in achieving company goals for the Project Management Division.
• Estimate material procurement and costs of structural steel and miscellaneous steel on project proposals.
• Size structural steel members using American Institute of Steel Construction (A.I.S.C.) design guides for design build projects.
• Procure materials from structural steel vendors for active projects.
• Provide logistical support for material orders of active projects.
• Advise steel detailers regarding shop drawing corrections and revisions.
• Generate bill of lading of finished fabricated structural steel to jobsites.
• Generate material scheduling and progress reports for all active projects.
• Design steel connection details and shop drawings using B.I.M. and CAD software.

Accountable for the preliminary design, review, and final submittal of floor and roof wood composite structural members for new and existing public schools, community colleges and state-owned public building to the State of California Division of the State Architect (D.S.A.).
• Supervised and revised preliminary designs and AutoCAD layouts for new construction in partnership with project’s structural engineers and architects.
• Estimated unit costs of materials during the preliminary design stage for value engineering.
• Served as a liaison between structural engineers and governing school districts regarding revisions to initial designs due to additional loads or revisions required out in the field.
• Created documentation via field reports, guarantee letters and inspection memos when required by municipalities.

• Created engineered layout drawings with supplemental structural details using AutoCAD.

• Produced preliminary submittal packages and documentation to the Engineer of Record prior to franchise or company-owned stores being sold.
