Area Manager
Managed an Inbound department at Amazon Fulfillment Center. Proactively identified and led process improvement initiatives and Lean tools. Review work forecasts and determined productivity requirements to produce during a day to meet the overall building objectives. Partnered with other Area Managers to balance labor, ensuring the efficiency of the operating shift while meeting all goals. Supported all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates.
Designed and implemented a standard-work sorting process in main receive dock: increased process capabilities and capacity with a reduced cycle time, enhanced ergonomic work conditions to improve safety and quality, created a stream-line and consistent process flow.
Managed Amazon’s Inbound operation during peak season: was responsible for 110 associates (25% new hires) in high pace industrial environment, effectively coordinated team to process a 30% increase in volume compared to previous year while running average shift efficiency of 124% to plan.
