SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE:
In 1988 my career began with Chemical Waste Management in Baytown, Texas as a Hazardous Waste
Technician / Site Supervisor.
In 1991 Chemical Waste merged with Rust Environmental and Infrastructure (REI). I relocated from
Texas to Georgia with (REI) in the position of Environmental Site Manager and Health & Safety Officer.
In 1996 Waste Management sold (REI) to Earth Tech a division of Tyco Flow Controls Group. Earth
Tech and AECOM then merged as an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Tyco International Ltd. (“Tyco”).
I’ve worked as an Environmental Project Manager in the US, Canada and Europe for the past 16 years.
EXPERIENCE:
Twenty Three (23) years of combined Environmental Quality Management, Environmental Restoration,
including Planning, Budgetary Responsibilities, and Project Execution of Large, Medium and Small
environmentally sensitive projects. Concentrated experience in project management cost estimating and
project controls support for commercial, federal and international projects. Knowledgeable and
experienced in site safety, hazardous waste removal, construction and sub-contractor quality assurance
oversight, remediation management, industrial hygiene, and sampling. Well versed in providing field and
office support and mentoring development of junior technician/field supervisor. Highly experienced in
Manufactured Gas Plant (MGP) waste removal, stabilization, restoration / cap, groundwater
contamination investigations, and cleanup. Current managerial responsibilities include cost tracking,
removal, treatment and or disposal of and contaminated soil; MGP waste investigation, remediation and
stabilization, sampling and categorizing various waste streams by hazard class. Safety officer, personnel
monitoring, and calibration of direct reading instruments; monitoring well installation, and development,
coordination of sampling teams, drillers, and all phases of air monitoring. Insight to Identifying and
understanding issues, problems, and opportunities; comparing data from different sources to draw
conclusions; using effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate
solutions; taking action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable environmental
consequences.
SELECTED ACHIEVEMENT:
Successfully managed directed the handling of hazardous waste drum storage pad, packaged
discarded laboratory chemicals
Provided expert advice and assisted DEA in hazardous and non-hazardous waste packaging,
obtained and assigned EPA ID numbers, RCRA hazardous waste codes, and determined proper
DOT shipping activities.
Successfully maintained a close working relationship with construction superintendents and
supervisors to ensure that proper labor practices and relations employed in the field were in
keeping with Environmental Laws and Practices.
On final project completion, I was appointed consultant to handle all warranty issues. Acted the
first line of contact between the Client and the Federal Government ensuring that all reported
complaints, repairs, defects, etc were dealt with expeditiously.
Successfully represented and defended my client’s environmental practice on two occasions
when brought before the EPA local office staff.

FEMA- Salt Lake City Floods, Salt Lake City, Utah. Project Specialist for Utah State Parks. Public
assistance project officer responsible for writing project worksheets for Category A, B, C, G and donated
resources.
FEMA- Washington Snow Storms - Yakima, Washington. Public assistance project officer for
Washington Department of Transportation, conducted applicant kickoff meeting’s with State
Representatives giving detailed review of the public assistance program, eligibility and hazard mitigation
opportunities that pertained their specific needs. Written numerous Category “C” Project Worksheets
during this disaster.
FEMA, Joint Venture Project, Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans, LA. Public assistance project officer
for Orleans Parish School Board Higher Education and Judicial System. Experienced in writing Category
A, B, C, D, and G Project Work Sheets, Debris Specialist.
FEMA, Iowa Storms, Various PW’s for locations in Dubuque, IA. Public assistant project officer for
various counties in Iowa. Category “A” project worksheet include wooded and vegetative debris, sand bar
removal on public and private property. Category “B” project worksheets including – 1,280 linear feet of
asphalt and concrete road repair and replacement and various park repaired donated resources projects.
Category “C” project worksheets including retaining wall repairs and replacement of 975 linear feet of
asphalt road with concrete curb and gutter. Category “D” project worksheets for lift station foundation
repair, storm and sewer line replacement etc... Various PW’s written for drainage ditch and bridge
