WORK EXPERIENCE:
Construction and operation of a pilot-scale high-rate algal pond wastewater treatment system. Required daily monitoring and maintenance of ponds, pumps, paddle-wheel motors and carbon dioxide delivery system. Involved extensive laboratory testing procedure. Organized, trained and supervised over ten undergraduate assistants each quarter in both the lab and field. Construction began in April 2009 and project data collected until September 2010. Consulted with current graduate student to develop a larger pilot plant in 2011.
