PROFESSIONAL OBJECTIVE

I am looking to fill a vital position as a Safety Loss Control Professional and operate in a total safety management of multiple construction projects and industry processes, including but not limited to; clean room, heavy construction, refinery processes, tunneling operations, marine and harbor construction, bridge and road construction projects, mining, milling and processing plants, metro-transportation, petroleum refining, power, nuclear, and petrochemical industries.

• Central Valley Gas & Storage (CVGS), Colusa, California
A Gas & Storage Facility to increase the total amount of natural gas storage capacity and the reliability of supply in northern California. Project required
o Construction of surface and subsurface facilities which included; a ten acre compressor station and associated facilities, four acre remote well pad site containing nine injection/withdrawal wells, one saltwater disposal well, and 130,000 gallon salt water tank.
o A 1,400 foot long dual 16 inch gathering line system that connects the injection/withdrawal wells on the remote well pad to the compressor station.
o A 300 foot long 12 inch gas pipeline, meter skid, and temporary compressor unit for a temporary connection to PG&E gas line.
o A 15.7 mile long 24 inch diameter gas pipeline that connects the compressor station to PG&E Line 400/401. Conversion of four existing wells, 3 for observation wells, 1 for a salt water injection well.
o A 1 acre metering station near PG&E Line 400/401
• BP Whiting Modernization Project, Whiting, Indiana
Expansion and modernization of BP Whiting refining facilities for broadening the capability to process crude feed stocks.
o New units included: the coker, cracked-distillate hydro-treating unit, sulfur recovery unit and tail-gas treating unit.
o Modularized design utilized with the interconnecting pipe racks to existing units, to reduce peak construction staff.
o Demolition of old existing units, environmental control of hazardous material, and soils handling and abatement.
o Monitor and implement contractor’s health, safety, and environmental programs, training programs, and made training recommendations.

The maintenance and modification of the SRU sulfur recovery unit and TKC (Taylor catalytic cracking unit).
o Demolition of the old existing units, environmental control of hazardous material and soils handling and abatement.
o Maintain and control compliance for adherence with environmental objectives and standards of the San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board for the project.
o Coordinate and conduct HSE surveys, and worked with contractors and resident engineers to develop preventative and corrective measures.

The series of three bridges built for a private owner, Talega Associates, over an environmentally and archaeologically sensitive area in San Clemente, California. The wetlands had to be protected at all times during construction in accordance with Cal/EPA and Fish and Wildlife requirements.
o Avenida Talega, a 415 feet long by 80 feet wide box girder bridge
o Calle Salude, a 405 feet long by 55 feet wide box girder bridge
o Avenida Vista Hermosa, a 586 feet long by 100 feet wide box girder bridge.
o Detailed logistics utilizing multiple lay-down areas, and traffic patterns worked out.
o Monitor and implement contractor’s health, safety, and environmental programs, training programs, and made training recommendations.
o Conduct and assist in accident/injury investigations and determined the cause, corrective action, and appropriate disciplinary action, and job hazard analysis, and made recommendations for improvement.

• Newport Beach Arches Bridge Reconstruction, Newport Beach, California
Intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and SR-55 replaced the Arches Bridge, in Newport Beach, over an environmentally and biologically sensitive marine ecosystem area in the Newport Bay.
o The bay and marine life had to be protected at all times during construction in accordance with Cal/EPA and Fish and Wildlife requirements.
o Construction features included steal H-piles that were driven within 5 feet of existing homes, and a 700 LF concrete, retaining wall built adjacent to Hoag Hospital.
o Maintain traffic at all times at the second busiest intersection in Orange County, and observe tight work windows due to neighboring residences, resorts, and wildlife.
o Detailed logistics utilizing multiple lay-down areas and traffic patterns worked out.
o Monitor and implement contractor’s health, safety, and environmental programs, training programs, and made training recommendations.
o Conduct and assist in accident/injury investigations and determined the cause, corrective action and appropriate disciplinary action, and job hazard analysis, and made recommendations for improvement.
• Bolsa Chica Wetlands Restoration Project, Orange County, California
The wetland restoration 1,247 acres project, adjacent to the city of Huntington Beach, was to restore portions of the wetland ecosystem of Bolsa Chica Wetland.
o Restore title influence from the Pacific Ocean to about half of the area to reinvigorate the wetland ecosystem.
o Protect the marine life at all times during construction in accordance with Cal/EPA and US Fish and Wildlife Service requirements.
o Maintain traffic at all times, and observe tight work windows due to neighboring residences, resorts, and wildlife.
o Detail logistics utilizing multiple lay-down areas and traffic patterns worked out.
o Monitor and implement contractor’s health, safety, and environmental programs, training programs, and made training recommendations.
