Team of four students worked in a global project team from China and United States. Acquired knowledge of other cultures, while combining efforts on a Tyco sponsored project. Completed a thorough study into characterizing the flow from a D3 nozzle using an innovative laser system. Worked with Particle Image Velocimetry and High Magnification Shadow Imaging (Shadowgraphy) techniques.


Interactive Qualifying Project, Melbourne, Australia, Aug-Mar 2010-2011
“The Future of Fuel Cells in Australia”
Team of four students studying the design and development of fuel cells. Completing an extensive investigation into fuel cells applications, cost, and competitiveness with other types of alternative technologies. Will recommend a policy position to our sponsor, the Alternative Technology Association, while considering the social, political, and economic climate of the country now, and in the future.

Heal the World, Worcester, MA, Great Problems Seminar, Aug-Dec 2008
“The Fight Against HPV and Cervical Cancer-A Case Study in Zambezia, Mozambique”
Team of four students created a proposal to slow and eventually stop the spread of HPV in the developing world by providing relief efforts. Organized our research into a poster and written report, which we presented to students and faculty of WPI.
