WORK EXPERIENCE:
PROJECT LEAD (CAD DESIGN)
Washington Closure Hanford, LLC; Richland, WA (2009 - 2012)
• Assigned to field engineering team supporting tasks including issue for bid remediation designs, change notices, volume calculations, procurement exhibits, and miscellaneous design tasks.
• Developing new project use field tool for elevated ERDF container tarping process. Tool was required following a near miss hazard with a site worker.
• Lead organizer for field remediation Master Service Agreement (MSA) to cleanup miscellaneous restoration debris. Administered pre-bidders meeting including presentation of scope
• Conducted management site assessment to identify issues and provide corrective action on a device being used to transport highly contaminated waste in transport containers.
• Assigned to the Environmental Restoration Disposal Facility (ERDF) to provide in-field design solutions and review of subcontractor design and construction activities for the ARRA funded projects assigned to WCH.
• Developed Issued for Construction drawings for the rear gate entrance road paving upgrade and re-alignment including scope of work for survey control, field review and submittal review of survey, and addressed subcontractor questions during construction of new road.
• Developed Issued for Construction drawings for the removal and relocation of overhead power lines in the ERDF truck maintenance yard including processing of change control documents during construction.
• Engineering team member on the Facility Maintenance Building new construction and expansion projects. Established preliminary design concepts with team. Provided oversight review of subcontractor design submittals. Was involved with questions during the construction and supported the field engineering personnel with change documents.
• Design of recently expanded Container Transport Area (CTA). Assigned in-house CAD department tasks to develop a set of construction drawings. Expanded CTA by 30% to allow for additional handling of ERDF containers. Work with subcontractor technical representatives during construction phase to resolve grading and electrical questions.
• Initiated the fiber optic and wireless communication upgrades for subcontractor and contractor mobile trailers, and longer term fiber optic needs including alignment design, and specification of vaults, cable sizing, and equipment.
• Assigned in-house CAD department tasks to develop a set of construction drawings to reconfigure main entrance to ERDF. Reviewed design through final subcontractor selection.
• Designed truck haul ramps into clean portions of waste disposal cells at ERDF. Provided final construction drawings for fill placement and drainage control and a new departure haul ramp including fence relocation and new vehicle gate.

• Overall CAD department supervisor for WCH managing a medium size group of in-house staff designers and subcontractors.
• Annual performance reviews and goal planning for staff designers.
