Experience with forensic structural engineering: 1.) In response to the 1994 Northridge earthquake, reviewed, categorized and summarized over a thousand structural steel shop drawings and forensic analysis reports on complete penetration welds of existing structural steel wide-flange connections, in accordance with FEMA Interim Guidelines, covering all such joints in several structures throughout Los Angeles. Identifying type of damage, extent of damage, and specifying repair. Information used by a SEAOC committee to investigate the overall extent of structural damage as a result of the 1994 earthquake. 2.) Investigated and reported on the existing condition of over 200 classroom bungalows on public school grounds throughout East Los Angeles for the Los Angeles Unified School District.
