Hardware Product Electrical Engineering responsibilities:
System level Printer Issues: Direct interface with multiple customers that included on-site visits to resolve issues. Resolved an Operating System crash that was affecting several hundred units at one customer’s business. Developed and implemented the product changes that positively affected all future units being manufactured. Communicated to all parties, development, service and call centers and provided the resolution for existing products.
Highly complex system controller cards (pcbas): Accountable for the cost of materials, finding alternate suppliers to keep assurance of supply. Responsible for the bill of materials and all engineering changes that affect it. Owned all electrical issues that impacted the design of the pcba, all hardware issue and firmware issues.
Low Voltage Power Supplies: Accountable for the warranty performance and manufacturing issues. Identified and corrected a potential shock hazard. Corrected a reliability issue in the primary circuit of the design. I conducted H.A.L.T. testing to identify assembly issues and resolved those prior to implementation of new products into the business.
