Experience: Over 30 years of engineering experience with project design and field inspection of bridges and roadways, gas pipe facilities, industrial conveyor systems, as well as various government, commercial, and residential projects. Familiar with AASHTO Standard Specifications, CTA Design Criteria Manual, The City of Chicago Building Code, the IDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, ACI and AISC. I am well versed in the production of CAD drawings using AutoCAD, MicroStation V8i, Microsoft Word and Excel.

• US Rte 30 over IL Rte 31 & BNSF-RR, Chicago, Illinois. Designed the deck, the approach slab for the bridge, and the retaining wall.
DB Sterlin Consultants, Inc., 2011
• Chicago Department of Transportation/AECOM, Chicago, Illinois. Rehabilitation of the Wells Street Bascule Bridge over the Main Branch of the Chicago River—Phase II. Inspected the bridge’s North Pit Wall at machinery level and prepared drawings for the proposed repairs. Inspected steel of upper main framing that supports CTA tracks. Designed and prepared drawings of new steel components and details for connecting with existing main trusses at upper main framing.
Soodan & Associates, Inc., 2007-2010
• Metra, Winnetka Station Rehabilitation, Winnetka, Illinois. StructuralEngineer/Design. Structural redesign for pedestrian bridge, stairs, elevator towers and the interior renovation of the historic train depot.
• Illinois State Toll Highway Authority (ISTHA) – Project Engineer. Assisted in the preparation of final contract plans for staged reconstruction of two new plate girder bridges on I-294.
• Illinois State Toll Highway Authority (ISTHA) – Structural Engineer/Inspector. Retaining walls and noise abatement walls inspected on the I-294 Tri-State Tollway, I-94 Eden Spur Tollway and I-88 East-West Tollway. Prepared final condition field reports, including repair recommendations.
• Illinois State Toll Highway Authority (ISTHA) – Structural Engineer. Structural redesign of bridge 645-6 over Mosquito Creek.
Delta Engineering, Inc., 2005-2007
• City of Chicago – O’Hare International Airport Modernization Project. Worked on the design for the pump station and valve vault at the Belmont facility.
• Illinois State Toll Highway Authority (ISTHA) – I-294 Tollway Renovation. Project Engineer. Assisted in the preparation of final contract plans for staged reconstruction of two new plate girder bridges on I-294.
• City of Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) – Biennial Bridge Inspections. Structural Engineer. Mr. Kuncas was responsible for the inspection of nearly forty bridges. The work included documenting deficiencies in structural components.
• City of Chicago – Interim Bridge Inspection. Project Engineer. Inspections of decks, piers, columns, abutments and bearings. Prepared condition reports of city bridges, including fixed and movable viaducts
• URS Corp. – Illinois Skyway Toll Bridge Inspection Condition inspector for the Annual Bridge Inspection Report, as a subcontractor for URS Corp.
• URS Corp. – Illinois State Toll Highway Authority (ISTHA). Structural Engineer. Worked on the design for the bridge IL Rte 43 over I-94 (Edens Spur) as subcontractor for URS Corp.

• City of Chicago – Millenium – Monroe Garages – Parking Facility, Chicago, Illinois. Project Engineer. Structural design of a tri-level underground parking facility including floor piers, stairs, counter forces and elevated forces.
• Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) – Station Reconstruction. Chicago, Illinois. Project Engineer. Brown Line station at Belmont/Fullerton and Blue Line station at Cicero. Redesigned concrete platform and foundation for roof, and steel construction of roof.
• Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) – Calumet Bridge. Project Engineer. Redesign of I-57 Little Calumet Bridge.
• Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) – Structural design for bridge at I-57 over 149th, and I-57 over Dixie Rd. and Rte 80/94 (Interstate 80/294).
• Illinois State Toll Highway Authority (ISTHA) – Tollway Inspection. I290 from South 95th to North Tollway 94, Deerfield Road. Structural Engineer/Inspector. Bridge inspection, sign structures, steel structure and foundation.
• Illinois State Toll Highway Authority: Tollway Plazas – Structural Engineer/Design. Structural design of canopies for various plazas.
• City of Chicago – O’Hare International Airport. Structural Engineer/Designer. Automated Guideway Transit (AGT) System inspection during the testing phases of the AGT System.
• City of Chicago – O’Hare International Airport. Structural Engineer/Designer. Structural members design for International Terminal Building. Concrete design for walls and foundation reinforcements.
