Marquette 16th St Parking Structure, Milwaukee, WI – Disproved the popular notion that cracks and distress of main stair and elevator tower were the result of building settlement. Diagnosed the true causes of the problems, presented synopsis to facilities management, and designed the appropriate repairs.
Chicago St Condo Dock Wall, Milwaukee, WI – Investigated the failure a wooden dock wall. Hired a diver with closed circuit TV capability to assist in collecting information. Presented conclusions and recommendations to condo association. Designed replacement wall and administered construction phase.
Boston Store Corporate Parking Structure Concrete Repairs, Milwaukee, WI – Identified areas of deteriorated reinforcement and concrete deck through visual observation and sounding techniques. Administered construction phase oversaw contractor repair operations to ensure quality.
Syracuse University Slocum Hall Investigation & Repairs, Syracuse, NY -- Performed an emergency condition assessment of the upper levels of a building façade after chunks of the limestone exterior detailing fell to the ground. Exterior Concrete Deck Restoration, Plattsburgh, NY - Lead engineer in the extensive repair and major alteration of a thirty-year-old, elevated pedestrian plaza. Implemented an alteration and repair design to address significant deterioration of the concrete beams and waffle slabs. Administered construction.
Roof Analysis & Reinforcement, North Syracuse School District, North Syracuse, NY – Participated in the failure investigation and assessment of a collapsed school cafeteria roof. Led a team of engineers on the complete structural review of roof framing at the district’s twelve school buildings. Designed reinforcement extensive areas of bar joists, rolled structural shapes, and roof deck deemed inadequate for drifted snow. Oversaw installation through numerous field challenges.
