ENGINEERING DESIGN:

Designed and built a prototype for strain-generating device that applies known strain in cyclical fashion to flexible cell-culture membrane (mimics cellular niches such as heart tissue, tendons)

Responsible for weekly demonstrations of progress to mentor and multiple full-length Progress Reports over the course of two semesters

Appointed leader by teammates, responsible for final word on all plans of action, delegated tasks to self and teammates, motivated team and kept project moving forward

Maintained flexibility to deal with set-backs such as lab closure (lab was inaccessible due to construction), supply chain limitations (rare parts had to be shipped from Turkey, devised work around to continue work on project while we waited), team member limitations (team consisted of a mechanical, electrical, and myself - had to bridge the gap between the other two team members who had different knowledge bases and specialties)
