H Young & Co (EA) Ltd, Nairobi, Kenya – Highway design engineer responsible for the complete design of over 30 miles of highway rehabilitation projects using CivilCAD. Managing sub-contractors and invoice approval in accordance with the work done and the terms of the contract. Solicitations and submission of new project bids and proposals.
August 2006 to January 2009 – Project Manager/Design Engineer
HDR Engineering, Jacksonville, FL - Project manager on seven design and construction projects which involved, design, cost estimation, and procurement of construction services. Projects included: grade crossings, pipeline installations, bridge design, track design and right-of-way acquisition planning. Additional responsibilities involved in the review of structural plans, and right-of-way plans on behalf of CSX on bridge projects.
