Caltherm Corporation is a ISO9001:2008 certified automotive supplier that designs and manufactures thermostatic and pressure relief valves. At Caltherm an engineer is expected to hold many titles. My duties and contributions are as follows:
Project Engineer
• Managed multiple concurrent engineering projects from feasibility analysis to production using ISO9001:2008 standards that resulted in the following:
• In 2011, reduced the number of products that failed to meet minimum process capability to1.33 by 25% compared to 2010.
• Gained verbal and written customer appreciation from one of the top four heavy engine manufacturers for correcting the failure of a product that accounted for 6% of company’s revenue.
• Designed a vertical integration project that saved the company six million dollars.
Hazardous Material Communication Officer
• Reduced the amount of hazardous waste produced by replacing most of the harmful products with a safer economical option that reduced disposal cost by more than 50%.
• Verified that the company is in compliance with the necessary federal, state and local government environmental regulations.
