P2 Energy Solutions (P2) develops lease record, production, ERP, GIS, well planning, and reserve calculation, applications and digital map data for the Oil & Gas industry.
• Product Sponsor (Program Manager) – Responsible for the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) (proposal, requirements, architecture & design, development, testing, and delivery) of P2’s BOLO and Excalibur ERP applications. BOLO and Excalibur applications are used by over 300 companies with around 10,000 users, which generate approximately $30 million in revenue annually. Successfully collaborated across the different departments within P2 to ensure BOLO and Excalibur applications are successfully released on time with the appropriate scope, quality, and resources.
• Project Management - Created countless project plans using MS Project that clearly breakdown tasks, estimate resource durations/schedule, assign accountability, and track to the schedule to identify and resolve schedule issues. Oversaw the implemented P2’s Microsoft SharePoint application. Oversaw the implementation of P2’s ecommerce Internet distribution of Tobin Hardcopy maps website. Managed software deployment engagements with many of the largest and most innovated multi-national including ExxonMobil, Shell, and BP.
• Vendor Relationship - Managed the Microsoft, ESRI, and I-Cubed business partnerships. Have generated RFPs, SOWs, and managements of offshore projects that generated applications, automation regression test scripts, and developed the P2 contract management document repository.
• Budgetary Accountability - Responsible for the generation of QA department budget of $3MM. Cost responsibility for the BOLO/Excalibur product line where I track the monthly variations of costs based on R&D, maintenance, and client funding allocation.
• Quality Assurance (QA) Management - Proven leader with the passion and discipline to deliver high-quality applications in timely manner. Assisted with company-wide implementation of the P2 Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using Agile Methodology. Oversee the testing of P2’s 21applications. Generated testing statistics and dashboards which assisted with the identified quality improvement areas and made the application release decisions, and assessed the quality of the release. Created testing processes that allow for the identification of issues early in the SDLC. Created test planning process which that verified & validated the business requirements were correctly implemented. Have implemented an effective automation framework which reduced testing costs and increased the detection of regression defects. Implemented corrective action plans and root cause analysis for SDLC projects and six sigma processes for the digital map data group. Provided QA guidance and collaborated with other P2 departments (Services, Sales, Support, and Product Management). Created an effective test lab using VMware to allow for scalable server testing.. This enabled P2 to effectively certify/support multiple test environments.
• Personnel Management - Effectively lead, communicated, and collaborated with staff, peers, senior management, and clients on applications testing status/issues/results on large multi-discipline teams. Responsible for the testing of P2’s applications with 35 black-box and white-box testers in 3 distributed offices.. Managed technical writers (TW), database administrators (DBAs), release management (RM), and software configuration management (SCM). Experienced with complexity of HR issues and known for identifying and recruiting high-quality talent. Create clear results driven performance goals aligned with company objectives. Conduct resource planning, perform employee reviews, and staff recruitment. Recognized as a strong mentor, coach, and developer of people. Responsible for the generation & management of $3MM QA department budget.

Tobin developed lease record management and GIS applications and digital map data for the Oil & Gas industry.
• QA Management - Created the Tobin QA group, development testing process, quality standards, and established the release procedures. Performed defect management and assessed the application quality. Developed, scheduled, estimated, and deliver project milestones for QA, TW, DBA, and SCM participation. Prepared testing statistics, metrics and establish release criteria. Produced processes to perform “Most Important Testing” methodologies that verify & validate the requirements were correctly implemented and defects were identified early in SDLC. Oversaw performance and stress automation tests that allowed Tobin to identify bottlenecks and established hardware/software recommendations. Created testing lab using Ghost which allowed the Tobin to certification/support, and easily reproduce defects. Implemented corrective action plans and performed root cause analysis to improve quality. Collaborated with other departments to ensure quality process were implemented.
• Personnel Management - Oversaw 15 black & white- testers, TW, and SCM personnel in 2 distributed offices. Prepared and managed QA budgets, employee reviews, resource planning, and staff recruitment.
