PROJECT: Reinsurance Work Station (RWS)
RWS is a windows form application tool that helps the underwriters to book the re-insurance business for the company. It allows them create contracts/policies and group the contracts under a single program. Each contract has the risk, coverage, model pricing and status information. Once the contract is bound, it is sent to the financial sub-system IRIS. RWS tool uses various third party risk pricing tools like RMS, AIR, and CAT. In essence, this RWS tool helps the underwriters in pricing the risks and booking the policy. The system interfaces with other subsystems like modeling and finance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Designed and implemented our in-house Reinsurance application which allowed the underwriters to quote and bind new policies.
• Designed our document management system which allowed users to scan, upload documents to our share point site. This was accomplished using C#, TIBCO, WCF, and EMS.
• Implemented Security Component for RWS (Encryption mechanism for securing confidential data within the application)
• Implemented Loss calculation WCF service which our claims application consumes to determine all losses for policy. It also reports all Axis payment on a claim.
• Some of the development aspects besides the Product requirements include Audit trail and Audit trail report viewer.
• My role is to interact with the Business Analysts to get the requirement, analyze it and develop the product.
• Interacting with the Business manager on the business requirements and translating Functional Requirements to Technical requirements
• Created proto-type of the application for demo before developing the application

This project mainly focuses on creating a company site under Hartland group. This automation is used whenever a company or groups want to register with HTG. Once the registration is done, it creates basic site and assign admin role to the user who registered. So that he can manage the site with creating users and groups, at the same time he can change the look and feel of the site as well as the permission settings for the site. It has the modules like
