Experiences
Undergraduate Research Assistant, University of Maryland (Fall 2011-Spring 2012)
Conducted research in a polymer reaction laboratory where main responsibility was to set-up and conduct experiments to aid in graduate student’s doctoral research. Research culminated in a technical report addressed to principle investigator.
• Designed and setup experiments for polymerization of poly L-lactic acid and polycarbonate
• Ran approximately 40 experiments in simple batch polymerization and thin film polymerization
• Collected, analyzed, and interpreted data on polymer properties
• Modeled kinetic rate equations of polymers with MatLab with data from experiments
Paid Chemical Database Intern, MedImmune (Summer 2011)
Under direction of Environmental and Safety Manager, updated and maintained database of approximat...
