• Broad interdisciplinary knowledge and experience in electrochemistry, material science, and mechanical engineering (including automotive engineering)
• 5+ year hands-on experience in R&D of energy storage material synthesis and testing, especially on carbon and silicon anode materials for Li-ion batteries
• Extensive experience in lithium ion battery performance testing and evaluation. Can independently perform or lead various battery testing activities.
• Familiar with electrolyte formulations for different applications
• Extensive experience in collaborating with outside organizations on R&D work.
• Electrochemical modeling and validation of cell design
• Familiar with general material characterization techniques such as SEM, DSC, TGA, BET, etc.
• Proficient in 3D CAD modeling and FEA analysis. Proficient in CAD/CAE software including AutoCAD, Solidworks, Pro/E, ANSYS, Hypermesh, and LS-DYNA.
• With previous manufacturing experience in automotive industry.
• Familiar with project management and new product development.
• Proficient in writing technical proposals, reports, and US patents. Good communication skills.
