Projects include modeling and simulation of active interrogation systems for cargo container screening and development of a prototype time-of-flight spectrometer for fission fragment identification in collaboration with the SPIDER project at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). Developed and characterized the timing detector for the prototype time-of-flight spectrometer to be implemented at LANL. The goal being to obtain a 1-2 amu mass resolution for fission fragment identification at various incident neutron energies. Modeling and simulation work in support of the prototype design using GEANT4, MCNPX and SIMION. Participation in bi-monthly meetings and presentations given to the LANL collaboration group. All graduation requirements have been fulfilled. GPA: 3.71
