Field Engineer/Estimator Farris Engineering, Inc. 2008-2012
Worked as an Engineering Services Coordinator and Estimator.
Responsibilities included verifying, on-site, the progress of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety design as it relates to specifications and local building codes. Also, providing estimating services for new clients, potential change orders, and verifying progress payments. Other duties included developing project schedules, using military based estimating programs, and project planning.
Construction Director Habitat for Humanity of Omaha 2006-2008
Responsibilities included managing schedules, subcontractor buy-out, coordinating volunteer coalitions, filing permits, verifying code compliance, meeting on-site city inspectors, on-site craft training, developing bid packages, conducting employee reviews, staff hiring, and managing the construction department budget.
During my time at Habitat, we were able to complete the construction of 16 homes in 2006, and 21 homes in 2007 (the highest total by OHFH to date).

Duties included field coordination, payment application approvals, punch list creation and management, submittal reviews, on-site meetings, working with owner representatives, and project closeout.
