Employment History / Research Experience
Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, September 2008 – December 2012
Graduate Research Assistant, School of Materials Science and Engineering
* Studied and characterized the phase separation behavior of polymer blends under the application of shear. Developed a new method of inducing rapid phase segregation of polymer blends by applying tensile or compressive deformation upon the melt or partial melt, using fiber spinning, extrusion, and compressive molding. Submitted conference papers to the NSF CMMI conferences (2009, 2010, 2011). Thesis defended and accepted August 2012.
Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, August 2007 – August 2008
Graduate Research Assistant, School of Polymer, Textile and Fiber Engineering
* Studied carbon-nanotube (CNT) / polymer composites, working on the development of carbon based supercapacitors and electrospinning CNT / polymer solutions.
