The WMATA DAS project involves the deployment of a neutral host system providing service from 450 – 2700 MHz in 50 subterranean stations and 100 miles of tunnels. This large scale, intensely paced, project required me to demonstrate mastery in all phases of network design and implementation. My duties included:
• Manager – direct a team of engineers and technicians in the design and implementation of a large scale DAS project; interface with upper management to secure resources and align team goals with overall program

I joined the WMATA DAS project as it entered Phase 2. My duties included:
• Engineer – survey sites and provide the design and BOM for 30 Phase 2 stations
• Team Leader – lead a team of engineers and technicians in system optimization efforts for what amounted to a complete overhaul of the Phase 1 implementation

As a Consultant, I was involved in a wide range of projects related to broadband data networks, both wired and wireless. I participated in many of these projects as a wireless networking expert. Projects involved a variety of technologies, including Mesh WIFI, WIMAX, DAS, SDR, Millimeter-Wave, and FSO – often with a mixture being involved in a single project. My duties included:
• Subject Matter Expert – generate and respond to RFP using my knowledge of IP Networking, Cellular Voice and Data, Wireless Broadband, and Distributed Antenna Systems
• Project Manager – manage and select vendors for deployment of Distributed Antenna Systems, large scale WIFI, and Wireless Broadband WAN
• Engineer – survey sites, provide the design and BOM, and serve as technical lead for projects relating to wireless voice and data networks
• Consultant – provide technical guidance and business modeling to clients relating to the deployment and maintenance of wireless voice and data networks
