I have spent last 19 years in construction industry, I started hanging drywall in 1994, learning the trade throughout- went on to subcontracting in july 1997 working along wih my 4-5 man crew for several years working for various contractors and builders, then moving onto contracting in 2000. sought after complete responsibility of jobs for quality and expanding purposes. have done many respectable builders work, and projects that were sought after, formed good size company with multiple hourly and sub crews, grew company into a million dollar yr. Then in 2008 I took a big hit with builder gateway homes not paying, I had to file on builder which in turn brought others to do same and put builder into bankruptcy with no payments or favorable solution in end. I was on bankruptcy committee. prior to this builder I generally was used to dealing with dependable builders for years with good history both sides had 9 builders from Birchwood homes, landmark ,and many others.continued business for several more years, also starting up a drywall patch company (A perfect patch) and handyman company all tradesmen) as well. in 2011 a lot of my builders finally gave into the cheaper is more profitable idealism, I had pretty big role in enabling builders to buy drywall direct. (my mind thought was I wouldn't get stuck with material costs and labor as well ) in case builder bankrupt scenario arose again, ultimately along side of building slowing trend and builders hiring their own subs and minimizing contractors, This is summary of my professional career. started at base level position that I turned into succesfull company that was highly profitable.. I am now seeking a professional career in established company where i can benefit company and help grow. along with now having time to spend with 3 children and enjoy watch...
