Mr. Jatio is a Civil Engineer with 17 years of experience in construction engineering management, project management of vertical/horizontal construction project, concrete estimating and design of various foundation systems.

Mr. Jatio's construction experience includes managing commercial/governmental infrastructures ranging from $500,000 to $ 1.2 billion. The types of projects were schools, buildings, strip centers, runways, large scale utility project, earthwork projects, flood walls and flood gates.

Mr. Jatio also worked as a field engineer responsible for all layouts, quality control on large embankment project. As the utility superintendent, Mr. Jatio is responsible for the installation of drainage pipe from 108" to 6", including force mains, trunk lines.

As a Quality Administration Representative on the IHNC project from the USACE, Mr. Jatio was responsible for all concrete abutment inspections on the Gulf Intercostal Waterway (GIWW) Bypass Gate Sector Gate Bayou Bienvenue (BB) Gate. Act as Asst. Site Manager at the BMW plant expansion in Greer, SC. This is about 300,00 SF warehouse space. Duties and responsibilities include planning procedures for construction on basis of starting and completion times, staffing requirements for each phase of construction; locating and evaluating potential subcontractors, vendors and suppliers; developing scopes of work for review and approval of the Project Manager; preparing estimates in areas of self-performed work; soliciting prices from subcontractors, vendors and suppliers for review and approval by Project Manager; selecting qualified bidders and negotiating final prices; reviewing all drawings, i.e. shop, architectural, structural, etc. when they are issued to the field and coordinating and maintaining a current sat at all times; ensuring customer satisfaction with the project; setting up and closing out construction site.

Worked on the NAVFAC Great Lakes Steam Decentralization Proposal as the Proposed Construction Manager. This is a design built proposal that consists of replacing the steam generated heating system to a gas fired system using boilers on 111 buildings. Wrote the proposal narrative on the planning and execution of the work this includes the layout of the sites, staging areas, haul routes, field office setup. Generated a graphic identifying the various buildings, their grouping and all phases and sequences of construction. Wrote the proposal narrative on training and warranty at the end of the project. Analyzed the labor productivity in the estimate, proposed field staff and their responsibility.

Quality Administration Representative, Shaw Environmental & Infrastructure, Inc., Federal, New Orleans, Louisiana

Quality Administration Representative for the Inner Harbor Navigational (IHNC) project in New Orleans. This is a USACE project. Main responsibility is to provide quality administration on the Gulf Intercostal Waterway (GIWW) Bypass, Sector and Bayou Bienvenue (BB) gates of the project. These gates are flood gates built on the navigational canal over Lake Borne. The Bypass gate for instance consists of (2) concrete abutment walls, extending 26 LF above the sea level, 150 LF apart. The walls were built inside a 226 LF x 121 LF coffer dam. The foundation is supported by over 300 piles. As a Quality Control Representative, was responsible for inspection all material as they were delivered, verify that the subcontractor is working with the approved shop drawings and specifications, verify that the correct rebar size and grade is install at the correct location, verify that the rebar clearance / coverage is maintained, verify that the forms are cleaned, oiled, installed and braced according to the approved drawings, verify that all steel weld and embeds are performed according to the specifications, verify that all block outs , sleeves are at the correct location, test the concrete mix before each pour to make sure that it’s in compliance with the specifications, monitor the concrete placement until finish, document in writing or by taken photos of every activity that occurs on the field, issue daily report . When the work is completed, generate the punch list and manage this list until final completion of the repairs.

Main responsibility includes inspecting all rebar and formwork before any concrete placement; reviewing concrete mix design for compliance with construction documents; monitor concrete placement until curing occurs, inspect all structural steel elements before installation; inspect all steel connections and welds; monitor all underground utility installation. Other administrative responsibility includes reviewing and approving Change Orders, Payment Applications; serve as a liaison between the Owner and the General Contractor; maintain all project records including closeout documentations.
