EDUCATION
MASTER OF SCIENCE of VLSI and Microelectronics, Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago IL (GPA 3.56); 2009-2012.
Design Projects
• Wrote object-oriented programming C++ code for Verilog simulator with several types of container classes and a complex interwoven class hierarchy with complex parsing, referencing, dereferencing, and object construction and destruction. Written with Microsoft Visual C++ Express and based on several state machines.
• Wrote object-oriented programming System C code for 8-bit Fast Fourier Transform calculator with a system of 9 computational units and 9 routers that connect the units and four computational units were designed to process twice the computations as the others. Written with Microsoft Visual C++ Express.
• Designed two operational transconductance amplifiers with LTspice in IBM 180 nm technology, one with a gain of 50 and the other with a gain of 500. Both had a unity bandwidth of 50 MHz and a phase margin of 60 degrees.
• Wrote a Verilog representation of the interface circuitry of the 486 processor to test the performance of CMOS power reduction techniques with IRSIM software on a UNIX-based system.
• Used Maple and MATLAB to compute Fourier transform and to generate Fourier response graphs.
• Designed in Verilog five Arithmetic Logic Units with different types of adders, verified their functionality with Formality on a UNIX system, and evaluated their speed and power consumption with IRSIM.
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE, Electronics Engineering Technology, DeVry University, Chicago, IL (GPA 3.92); 2002-2005.
Design Projects
• Designed multi-pole Butterworth, Bessel, and Chebyshev resistor-capacitor active filters and inductor-capacitor passive filters with PSpice.
RESEARCH WRITINGS
Ultraviolet Communications
Summary: Wrote research paper on the use of ultraviolet light in fiber optic communication.
