Business Development Engineering Lead 2011- Present
• Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Strategy and Technology, I lead teams that evaluate, market and develop hardware and software solutions created by Northrop Grumman Information Systems and\or suppliers. My team is focused on strategically positioning and winning bids in the very competitive and highly regulated defense industry.
• Successfully lead strategic business development and engineering projects for key global customers such as the U.S. Army and International Coalition Forces in locations such as India, Australia and Jordan. Write and complete RFI\RFP documents for potential targets.
• Specialize in key technologies such as cyber security, mobile ad hoc networks (MANET), Cloud Services, Network Operation Centers (NOC), Satellite Services (SATCOM), Mobile Application Development (Android), and various other open source based software applications
Project Manager 2008- 2011
• Led a winning research and development team that created and implemented an innovative logistics and tactical awareness command and control product. This pioneering tool is now used by the U.S. Army and resulted in Northrop Grumman winning over a 15-year incumbent competitor for a critical contract. It is currently being fielded to 24,000 Army tactical wheeled vehicles and will be their primary means of computing, communications and control for the next five years.
o Applied a strong understanding of various software and hardware technologies, including: C++, JAVA, RFID and encrypted networks, such as mobile ad hoc networks and satellite services. Formulated a novel, hands-on approach to identify customer needs by working closely with soldiers in the field. This resulted in a more effective bid by fully understanding their needs, culture and operations.
o Received the Division Honor Award in 2011 due to my leadership of this effort and official recognition by the U.S. Army and senior leadership.
System Engineering Manager 2008- 2010
• Led a team of 20 systems and security engineers in gathering requirements, analysis, design, documentation, test procedures, validation and verification for classified and unclassified software products for critical customers such as the U.S. Army and U.S. Marines.
o Successfully met budget, schedule constraints and complex audits required by the U.S. Government. Supervised process to ensure products met Information Assurance (IA) compliance requirements as mandated by the Department of Defense (DOD).
o Supervised and provided necessary guidance to engineers in the implementation of complex command and control SW/HW and security requirements for the U.S. Army and U.S. Marines.
Lead Systems Engineer 2007-2008
• Led five system engineers in gathering requirements, analysis, design, documentation and presentation for various classified and unclassified software products developed by Northrop Grumman for use by the U.S. Army Aviation, U.S. Army Ground Forces and U.S. Marines.
o This included defining requirements and integration of encryption protocols that allow soldiers to view and securely transmit MS Office files over the air on tactical networks and encrypted flash drives as mandated by Department of Defense (DOD).
Senior Software Developer 2007-2008
• Led a team that created applications to facilitate and configure secure communication between Marine and Army command centers. Built a web user interface, utilizing PHP5.0, PostGresSQL, HTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript, DHTML, XHTML, XML and C++ and Digital Certificates.
