General Atomics - Aeronautical – Engineer III (Project) Adelanto, CA 6/2008-present
• Acting Lead Project (Systems) Engineer on a series of airframe improvements to the Avenger aircraft incl; wing, tail, and landing gear redesign as well as survivability upgrades.
• Lead the conceptual and preliminary aircraft design team for the Navy’s proposed Unmanned Carrier Launched Airborne Surveillance and Strike platform (UCLASS) during the RFI and BAA
• Developed GA-ASI’s current conceptual and preliminary design and requirement trade study tool. Investigated several COTS aircraft design and optimization products in the process. Custom tool’s outputs have been validated against legacy GA-ASI aircraft and have contributed toward the requirement generation, conceptual, and preliminary design of 6 clean sheet or variant aircraft.
• Responsible for configuration management, flight test readiness, and assisted in preparation airworthiness documentation/reviews during initial flight tests of the prototype Avenger (Predator C). Also performed airframe/system health monitoring during flight envelope expansion of; airframe, flight controls, landing gear, weapons bay doors, and weapons separation spoiler.
• Acted as the Avenger Weight and Balance Lead during prototype and initial production phases
• Acted as a rapid development shop liaison engineer on the Avenger prototype aircraft
• Identified as a “Key Contributor” by management every year since 2010 for significant individual technical contribution
• Admitted into GA-ASI’s first 2-year management appointed leadership training program.

• Assisted a PhD candidate on experimental portion of his bluff body aero-elastic research

• Designed a 3D air velocity instrument that is debris resistant for measurement of high speed atmospheric winds in a non-sterile environment (i.e. tornados and micro bursts)
