• Worked on several Capital as well as minor projects which included; Design, issue and review of PFD’s and P&ID’s, develop Mass and Energy balance for new process and modify for the debottlenecking project, Line sizing, Pump hydraulic calculations, Control valve and Process Safety device sizing and selection as per international standards, developing process datasheets for equipment and instruments
• Participated as an active team member in various HAZOP, HAZID and PHA studies of different projects and proposed recommendations. Ensured, all the recommendations are followed and implemented through Management of change procedures.
• Have been responsible for creating and updating Standard operating procedures including Shutdown / Start-up Procedures, Process descriptions, Control logic and Interlock descriptions
• Reviewing and evaluating the vendor documents and assisting in providing input for development of TQ / TBE for equipment and instrumentation
• Creating a process model and simulation using ASPEN Plus/HTRI to resolve the equipment reliability issues and improve its performance.
• Experienced in carrying out the process design of Shell and Tube HE using HTRI as per international TEMA standards and develop its Process Datasheet
• Worked as a field engineer which included: updating P&ID’s to make final as-built; verifying the piping layout, equipment layouts, hazardous area classification drawings etc. in the Revamp projects; assist in pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities
• Carrying out Process Safety and Risk Management programs including incident investigation, PSSR, ERCP, PHA, MIQA etc.
• Ensuring all modifications through change management procedure (MOC), updating of documents for all modifications, HAZOP study for major modifications and verification of anticipated results.

Nirma is one of the major Consumer oriented company involved in manufacturing the raw material used in production of Detergents and Soaps. Major production capacities are Linear Alkyl Benzene, N-Paraffin and Soda Ash plants with the annual production capacity of 65 KTA, 75 KTA and 650 KTA respectively.
• Worked in Linear Alkyl Benzene and n-paraffin plant licensed by UOP. My responsibilities included:
• Preparation of project proposals including project scope, cost estimation, benefit evaluation and payback period calculations
• Preparing and Modifying the Process flow diagrams and Process and instrumentation diagrams
• Computer simulation (ChemCAD) and hand calculation of heat and material balances, distillation and absorbing tower operations, and furnace efficiency evaluation.
• Performing supporting process calculations and preparing specifications for all required process equipment items, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, instruments, control valves and relief valves.
• Provide process design support to base plant and project safety reviews (HAZOPs and Risk Assessments)
